This Site is The Brain Child of Anne Kubitsky

Anne Kubitsky is an award-winning creative professional with formal training in biology, philosophy, art, and trauma-informed healing tools. For the last fifteen years, she has been on a mission to make mental health resources more accessible to the public. In addition to maintaining this website, Anne runs Look for the Good Project, a nonprofit organization which offers community-care programming to elementary schools. So far, Anne's books and programming have impacted almost 700,000 kids who have generated 2.5 million messages of gratitude in schools across the country.

This site will introduce you to:

(( 1 ))

Neuro-Literacy, which is the ability to understand how the nervous system functions and influences your emotions. By developing neuro-literacy, you can better recognize automatic survival responses, manage nervous system states, and make informed choices that support nervous system regulation.

(( 2 ))

Emotion Literacy, which is the ability to recognize, understand, and regulate emotions. It involves developing self-awareness, empathy, and communication skills to navigate life's challenges in an ethical way.

Although Anne's work has been praised by many therapists and social workers, she is not a mental health professional. Please understand the limitations of her work and seek professional help if you need extra support.

Complex problems require creative solutions. Neuro-literacy is the key to understanding the invisible forces that shape our thoughts, actions, and relationships. It’s more than just recognizing signals from your nervous system— it’s the ability to break toxic patterns, make empowered choices, and build deeper connections. Whether you're facing personal challenges, workplace conflicts, or larger societal issues, neuro-literacy and emotion literacy will give you the insight and resilience to be respectful and kind.
